Given cleaning hacks help make life easier on a daily basis, they can be even more helpful when cleaning our homes before moving out.
Removalist platform Upmove analysed TikTok data to find out which cleaning hacks are the most popular when it comes to preparing the house for a move.

Coming in at number one is a tip for using a refurbished carpet cleaner to clean the floor, which had 13 million views.
Posted by @cleanupwithjo, the TikTok shows Jo using a second-hand carpet cleaner in small sections to get her carpet looking as good as new.
“OK so as always it hasnt come out PERFECT but i think the agents will be happy on inspection now. i also got the vax refurbished on ebay so it was half the price it would be new, and therefore only about £30 ($58) more than renting so why not? also way cheaper than what the landlord could charge to have them done professionally,” she captioned the TikTok.
The second most popular move out cleaning hack had nine million views and is for cleaning stove tops.
It involves spraying cleaning product on the surface, then covering with cling wrap and leaving it to sit for up to 24 hours.
This hack from @aurikatariina means less scrubbing because the cling wrap keeps the cleaning product wet and active so it can break down the burnt on grime overnight.

In third place with 8.1 million views, is a hack from @lucykalice for a dusting spray which claims to repel dust.
The spray is a mix of olive oil, white vinegar, dish soap and water which you spray on surfaces and then wipe off.
The fourth most popular hack had eight million views and shows TikToker @blooms_abode using a saucepan lid covered in a damp cloth to clean carpeted stairs.

Rounding out the top five cleaning hacks for moving out is a TikTok from Aussie home hacks queen @mama_mila, which has had 4.6 million views.
